The New Heurigen Tradition
Our classic Heurigen dishes have more than one thing in common: they’re all 100% homemade, delicious and completely natural. That’s why Cornelia Zahel prepares our organic sourdough bread, spreads and chutneys, as well as all of our desserts without additives or preservatives. What we do wish to preserve, however, are our signature recipes, passed down through the generations of our family. Take for example, Mother Zahel’s beloved plum-filled “Buchteln.” These are still a staple on the dessert menu but have been given a unique, modern twist — and extra vanilla custard for dipping — by her grandson Florian.
Larger Gatherings and Celebrations
For gatherings, meetings or celebrations of more the 40 people, we can gladly accommodate your group outside of our seasonally scheduled openings.
